TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
At Kanes Foods we have our own Training Department certified by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
As a reputable food processing company we train our staff in order to achieve the highest level of safety whilst ensuring we are producing the best quality food.
Job applicants will be invited to an Awareness Day where they will be given more information about Kanes and specifically the vacant position. This allows Kanes to assess the suitability of applicants and also for applicants to understand Kanes requirements.
New members of staff will initially attend an Induction Day. This will teach about health and safety issues, food safety, hygiene and food quality. They will then be allocated a ‘training buddy’ who will ensure they have the necessary guidance and support for those first couple of days in a new job.
The Training Development Department will monitor people’s careers and staff will receive periodic appraisal reports so they are aware of their progress. They will be encouraged to apply for promotions when they become available and supported if successful.
Through our Learning and Development Programme we hold regular internal Food Safety and HACCP courses run by Campden BRI.
