Kanes Foods were very pleased to be able once again to support Crisis at Christmas this year, donating four tonnes of fresh vegetables to the charity’s Christmas events for the homeless.
2019 was Crisis’ busiest year to date, with 5,000 guests across 14 Christmas centres nationwide, enjoying nutritious hot meals and a safe, warm place to stay. Kanes donated a wide variety of lovely fresh ingredients for the meals – everything from aubergines, broccoli, butternut squash, celery, courgette, tomatoes, cauliflower, lettuce, cabbage, chillies and of course, brussel sprouts. In all, Crisis served an incredible 37,000 meals.
We’re very grateful to our logistics partners, Ferryfast, for their help with this project and delighted to be able to contribute in our own way to the fantastic work that Crisis do. As they tell us, “Hope starts with all of us and together we will end homelessness”.
